I am running for a seat on the Encinitas City Council because we’re at a crossroads in our City’s history. And I believe my voice, my values, and my concerns reflect your voice, your values, and your concerns regarding the future of Encinitas.

This community has been so good to me for many years, and I feel a personal responsibility to leave it even stronger and better than I found it. We’ve all watched for too long as battle lines have divided our city government. But I believe it doesn’t need to be divided. For example, we can both allow quality development that improves and serves Encinitas, and preserve our beautiful natural environment. But we must do it in a careful and responsible way that preserves the economic vitality, public safety, and quality of life here that we all love.

All of my diverse leadership experiences in small business, community service organizations and non-profit foundations have enabled me to develop the valuable skill of being able to bring people of divergent backgrounds and viewpoints together to achieve a common goal. I believe this is exactly the type of leadership we need right now on the Encinitas City Council.

I can provide the leadership to successfully navigate the complex and challenging issues our city faces while finding ways to bring our community together and always remembering the most important goal: protecting and preserving our public safety and amazing quality of life in order to leave Encinitas even better than we found it.
